What Next
The First Look is designed to get you visible — fast. But it's also the beginning of something.
When your business grows and your images need to grow with it, the GMS Recognition Session (£350) builds on this foundation — more images, more depth, more of who you're becoming.
There's no pressure and no timeline. But the door is always open.
What if I hate every photo ever taken of me?
Most of my clients arrive with this exact sentence sitting in their chest. You don’t hate yourself , you hate the versions of you that felt rushed, posed, or judged. When your nervous system feels safe, your face softens, your breath drops, and your real expression appears. That’s the moment we’re working toward. And it happens for everyone.
I’m awkward.
Like… professionally awkward. Is that a problem?
Awkwardness is not a flaw — it’s a signal. It means you care. It means you’re not used to being seen without performing. And it’s the raw material of presence-led photography. We don’t hide it. We work with it until it becomes something softer, truer, and surprisingly powerful
Do I need to know how to pose?
No. Posing is performance. Presence is truth. You’ll be guided into simple movements that feel like you, not a mannequin version of you. The best images happen in the in‑between moments — the breath, the laugh, the tiny shift that feels natural.
What if I don’t know who I’m supposed to ‘be’ in the photos?
You’re not supposed to be anyone. This isn’t branding theatre. This is identity work. We explore who you are becoming, not who you think the market wants. Your job is to show up. My job is to help you recognise yourself.
I’ve had branding photos before and they felt fake. How is this different?
Traditional branding starts with aesthetics. Alchemy branding starts with identity, emotion, and context. We don’t ask, “What do you want to look like?” We ask, “Who are you when you’re not performing?” That’s why clients say things like: “I finally look like the person I’ve been trying to become.”
What if I freeze, cry, or feel overwhelmed?
Then you’re human. This space is built for the full spectrum of being seen not just the polished parts. You can pause. You can breathe. You can reset. Nothing you feel is wrong, too much, or inconvenient.
I’m not confident enough yet. Should I wait?
Confidence isn’t a prerequisite. It’s a result. You only need 51% belief, just enough to show up. The session does the rest.
What if I don’t know what to wear?
We choose outfits based on how you want to feel, not how you want to impress. Clothing becomes a cue, a psychological anchor, not a costume.
You’ll be guided, not left guessing.
Will I be rushed?
No. Presence-led work requires time, spaciousness, and nervous-system safety.
We don’t shoot until you’ve arrived in your body. This is not a conveyor belt. It’s a ritual.
What if I don’t recognise myself in the photos?
You will but in a way that feels like a homecoming. Most clients say: “I didn’t know I could look like that… but it feels like me.”
That’s the alchemy.
How do I know which session is right for me?
Think of it as an identity arc:
-
Recognition → “I need to see myself clearly for the first time.”
-
Trust → “I’m ready to show more of my story and energy.”
-
Authority → “I’m stepping into bigger rooms and need visuals that match who I’m becoming.”
If you’re unsure, start with Recognition.
It’s the safest, softest entry point.
What happens after I book?
You’ll receive:
-
A grounding pre-session ritual
-
A clarity questionnaire
-
A short call to make sure you feel supported, not alone
You’ll know exactly what to expect — no surprises, no pressure.
Who owns the photos?
As the photographer I own the rights to the images. You own a license for fair use. This does not allow you to sell or distribute as your own work. You may not use them for advertising, or publication without my approval.
As the owner I am entitled to use my work for advertising and marketing. To enter competitions, or display at exhibition.
Can I get the RAW files?
In short no.
Editing is as much as part of the final images as the setting of the location, the physical taking of the photo and everything in between.
A photo without my edit is simply not my work, even though I am associated with it. As such there is a reputational risk.
Can I edit the photos myself?
Again no. I accept that in real use the image may need to be cropped to fit a certain usage. Other than that, once again this is my work with my reputation.
